That is why, as ingredient technology changes, then so do we. We only use the safest and healthiest ingredients in our potent formulations. You will sometimes notice that colours, aromas and textures may vary slightly from batch to batch within our products. This is because nothing in nature is the same. No apple is identical, no carrot is shaped the same, each has its own unique DNA… and so do you.

As a company we won’t compromise on our values and are responsible for sourcing all of our own raw materials and manufacturing our own formulations. Giving you the assurance that we know exactly what is in our products.

We believe there are absolutely no excuses for skin care companies to use toxic ingredients such as parabens, silicones, mineral oils, PEGS, Artificial fragrances or dyes, chemical SPFS or petrochemicals.

Green chemistry: Alkanet (Alkanna tinctoria) root Extract comes from a plant that produces blue flowers and the root of the plant is the most used and they are dark reddish black in colour. It’s roots are rich in alkannins which has wound healing benefits along with anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.

Green chemistry: A sesquiterpene lactone, called helenalin is a restorative compound in Arnica Montana, which along with flavonoid, helps soothe and heal the skin after exposure to stress. The antibacterial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties of this oil helps with reducing inflammation.

Blackcurrant seed oil

Green chemistry: This hydrating oil (Ribes Nigrun Seed Oil) is very rich in antioxidants with high amounts of omegas 3 and 6 essential fatty acids. This anti-inflammatory oil helps to increase elasticity in the skin, and can be used to protect and nourish the skin preventing chronic skin conditions, such as dermatitis and eczema.

Why we love it:

This seed oil is jam packed with omega 3, which isn't produced naturally by our body, which means we need to feed our body and our skin this precious nutrient to nourish it from the inside out.

Capryloyl glycerin/sebacic acid copolymer, diheptyl succinate

Targets: A 100% Natural containing sustainably sourced vegetable emollient.

Green chemistry: Capryloyl = caprylic acid from Coconut, Glycerine = a bi-product of fatty acid production from coconut. Sebacic Acid = from castor oil. The reaction is 100% renewable and involves the use of no solvents or petrochemicals. The only by-product of the reaction is water and the process is highly energy efficient. This represents green chemistry at its best!

This plant oil has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory properties, making it a wonder treatment for all skin types.

Cherry kernel oil

Targets: Dry skin

Green chemistry: Cherry kernel oil is emollient oil that has high content of Vitamin A, moisturising oleic acid as well as tocopherols, a natural antioxidant that will help protect the skin.

Why we love it:

Contains 10% eleostearic acid which has some UV protective qualities. Amounts present in the oil will vary from batch to batch and based on extraction process. This oil forms a barrier on the skin which can help protect boost the skins natural SPF but isn't suitable as a sole sunscreen agent.

Chamomile

Green chemistry: WILD MORAC CHAMOMILE is a calming herb that has an anti-inflammatory and a sedative effect on the skin. Chamomile helps to reduce redness and cool sensitivity by constricting the skin’s capillary action. This decreases skin irritation and inflammation.

Cranberry oil

Green chemistry: This berry oil is rich in Tocotrienols and tocopherols which are potent antioxidants, protecting the skin from environmental stressors. The oil ialso contains omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9 essential fatty acids that help to moisturise, protect and repair the skin.

Why we love it:

Cranberry contains omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9 essential fatty acids, the only oil with an even ratio of the three. This moisturising power makes it perfect for ageing, rough, dry, and scaly skin.

Calendula oil

Targets: Ageing, irritated and skin in need of healing.

Green chemistry: Calendula oil is extracted from marigold flowers and is rich in vitamin A. This oil soluble compound helps to reduce inflammation and it’s antispectic proetpies helps to cleanse and heal the skin. Citric acid

Targets: Maintains a healthy pH

Green chemistry: Citric Acid is found in a variety of fruits and vegetables, but it is most concentrated in lemons and limes, where it can comprise as much as 8% of the dry weight of the fruit. Citric acid is also the most widely used organic acidulate. Citric Acid is an Alpha-Hydroxy Acid and hence will have some exfoliant properties, although these are much less than Glycolic, Lactic and Malic Acids.

Green chemistry: Eau de Source Marine is an active water which comes from a spring in Brittany (France). This water is naturally rich in minerals and trace elements because of its contact with the sand and the granites of its original environment. More than just water, Eau de Source Marine stimulates lipid synthesis to reinforce the skin's barrier function and prevent water loss. For the body and mind Lavender helps to treat treating anxiety, insomnia, depression and stress.

Applying Lavender oil to wounds can increase cell growth causing the wound to heal faster, but it also decreases the appearance of scars.

L-asorbic acid

Targets: Uneven skin tone, Ageing and Pigmentation.

Green chemistry: L-Asorbic acid is the purest and most stable form of Vitamin C. This potent water soluble vitamin is a naturally occurring antioxidant that is essential for the formation of the amino acids that make collagen within the skin, helping to prevent wrinkles, dryness and collagen degradation. Vitamin C is readily depleted from our skin with exposure to UV light and cutaneous levels of Vitamin C cannot be achieved well by ingestion, so topical application is essential for preventing oxidative damage resulting from pollution, smoke and sunlight. Lets break it down; Polyglyceryl-2 Caprate, the polyglyceryl -2 means 2 x polymer chains of glycerin polymers, this is the water loving part and the glycerin is vegetable derived. While, the Caprylate is the fatty ester part which is oil soluble and also sourced from vegetable sources.

Targets: Oiliness and shine.

Green chemistry: Regu-Seb contains polyphenol rich fractions from the North American Saw Palmetto and South American Sesame Seeds in a Moroccan Argan Oil base, helping to control and reduce sebum overproduction. Sebum is healthy and is an essential component needed to maintain the skin’s natural protection, guarding it against certain chemicals and breakout-causing bacteria. This healthy blend of good oils provide a powerful cocktail of fatty acids including phytosterols, lignans and tocopherols, which help regulate and reduce sebum production, especially in the T-Zone of the face and mattify a shiny appearance.

Green chemistry: Sucragel (Glycerin & Caprylic/ Capric Triglyceride & Aqua & Sucrose Laurate) is an all natural emulsifier made from coconut and glycerin and is based on a particular sugar ester, sucrose laurate. Targets: A natural preservative system

Green chemistry: SODIUM LEVULINATE + SODIUM ANISATE is a blend of compounds found in many plants and are antimicrobial preservatives derived from corn and fennel respectively. The gentle ingredients improve the natural acidic environment of the skin and also assist with moisturisation. Interestingly, bees also use one of the naturally occurring plant acids for the difficult task of protecting their pollen and nectar against microbiological spoilage.

Targets: An emollient suitable all skin types

Green chemistry: A saturated oil. It is formed when squalene undergoes hydrogenation processing, which turns it into a stable, fully saturated oil with a long shelf life. Squalane is an excellent hydrator and leaves skin hydrated, plump and soft. The texture is super-light and non-greasy and fast absorbing.

Sodium phytate

Targets: Supports the natural preservative system

Why we love it:

Sodium Phytate naturally helps preservatives to work better and help improve products overall stability.

Green chemistry: Shea Butter is derived from the seed of the Shea Tree. This rich butter is packed with essential nutrients, including plant sterols EFAs and vitamins. Protective plant sterols and moisturising Essential Fatty Acids help to rebuild the skin’s natural protective barrier function and melt into the skin to provide deep hydration and nourishment, restoring elasticity and providing relief from irritations.

Sweet fennel

Green chemistry: Is a naturally occurring plant extract with both anti-bacterial and anti-oxidant properties. Green chemistry: Vit-A-Like is a botanical alternative to Retinol. Retinol is a form of Vitamin A that has proven effect on cell renewal. However Retinol is quite unstable and can cause irritation on the skin, meaning that often it is not suitable for more sensitive skin types. Vit-A-Like is non sensitising and accelerates cellular renewal, promotes collagen synthesis and is clinically proven in anti-wrinkle efficacy, but has high skin tolerance and stability.
